Walt Disney World is adding another after-dark enhancement to its iconic monorail system.

Monorail Trains With New Glow-in-the-Dark Disney Logo

Starting this week, the logo on each monorail train will glow in the dark, creating a new visual effect that builds on the nighttime upgrades introduced for the resort’s 50th anniversary.

The glowing logo feature joins the undercarriage beam lighting that debuted during the anniversary celebration. That earlier update added soft, colored lighting beneath each train, giving the monorail a more dynamic appearance as it travels the beams after sunset.

Electric is produced by carbon consumption… The monorails are many things…but energy efficient was never one of them They’ll be around for a bit. But I’m not sure they’ll even replace the trains…sure as hell not gonna replace the beams in needed

I can’t see the post(s) to which you are referring (because I have certain people on ignore) but fair warning: using the laugh emoji other than if something is funny (like to ridicule someone) goes against the rules around here. If you work (or did) for Disney as an Imagineer, I would weigh your opinion more heavily. I know a lot of people say the word “experts” with an eye roll these days - as if all opinions are equal regardless of experience or training - but I have more respect for opinions based on actual knowledge and not just, “I like things to match.”

Hm... Have to see these in person. I actually really like the undercarriage lighting. I like the idea of this alot. I can't decide how I feel yet. I don't love that picture for some reason, but it's also a close up picture.
